James Pittman L.Ac, M.S.O.M

Our mission at Discover Acupuncture is to give our community a natural option for health care.  People looking for an alternative to Western medicine will revel in our approach to health care.

James studied acupuncture at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine graduating with a Master’s of Science in Oriental Medicine and a Bachelor’s in Nutrition.  To further his training James traveled to Chine to study at the prestigious Guangzhou University.  James also holds a Level 2 Clinical Thermographer certificate from Duke University Medical Center.

James has spent the past 15 years immersed in Oriental Medicine teachings because both of his parents practice Traditional Chinese Medicine.  Currently James serves as a clinical supervisor at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine.

Prior to James’s study of Oriental Medicine he studied Jazz performance and composition at Columbia College Chicago and the Los Angeles Music Academy.
